Baby Teeth Treatments

Treatment of decay and infection in baby teeth, and keeping space for the permanent teeth.

Baby Teeth Treatments

Primary teeth matter for the positioning of permanent teeth and for the child's chewing, speech and jaw development. Treatment is planned when decay or infection develops in primary teeth.

Who may be suitable?

  • Children with decay, pain or infection in primary teeth
  • Those who have had trauma to primary teeth

How does the process work?

  • The situation is assessed with an examination and, if needed, X-rays.
  • The dentist explains the treatment suited to the child's age and the condition of the tooth (filling, root canal, extraction, etc.).
  • The procedure is planned according to the child's cooperation.

After treatment and care

Until the anaesthetic wears off, make sure the child does not eat or bite the lip or cheek. Continue brushing and keep up with check-ups.

The information on this page is for general purposes only; an examination is required for diagnosis and treatment. Treatment plans are determined by the dentist according to each patient's condition.
